Thanks for the suggestion, but the d does not have swirl flaps. So I have been researching the common rail system and it is fairly simple really. It has two ways to release pressure, one is the injectors the other is the relief valve - that's it.

Last year was replaced the egr valve, egr cooler, dpf was cleaned, lambda sensor changed, intake manifold flaps changed and cleaned.

Car is: BMW D t diesel N47 Symptoms: CEL On air system, air to EGR massflow, plausibility 4A6E glow plug cylinder 1, activation.Got myself a dpf error, 318D, N47, e90, can the dpf just be Made by BMW. I got this error when my DPF reached it’s limit miles, I’ve reset the miles counter and haven’t had an issue since. I know for sure my car has a sensor before and a sensor after and if the two sensor readings don’t match than it means it’s clogged up.
